The long-awaited meeting on the minimum wage is underway at Palazzo Chigi with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and opposition leaders, who are putting their unitary proposal of a wage of no less than 9 euros an hour on the table. A proposal that Meloni has already rejected, however: “It risks making the situation worse”. Greens co-spokesman Angelo Bonelli asked again: “What did he call us to do?” However, the government has ensured an attitude of listening and discussion because there is a conviction that wages are a pre-eminent issue, but the prime minister does not intend to relaunch with her own counter-strategy of actions and rules. While we await the results of this direct confrontation between the prime minister and the opposition, we learn that Giorgia Meloni and Nicola Fratoianni made a pre-summit by plane. Both, in fact, were on the scheduled Brindisi-Rome flight.
Both Giorgia Meloni and Nicola Fratoianni took the scheduled Brindisi-Rome flight before the summit at Palazzo Chigi. Both were returning from vacation in Puglia. In particular, the Prime Minister was in the Itria Valley with his daughter Ginevra and her partner Andrea Giambruno. With them were also his sister Arianna and his brother-in-law and minister Francesco Lollobrigida. Fratoianni was also in Puglia for a few days, where he was relaxing a bit with his son. Intercepted by Adnkronos before the meeting at Palazzo Chigi, Fratoianni tried to deny the “pre-summit” and said goodbye with a joke: “Now you will say that there is a Meloni-Fratoianni government …”.
