Minimum wage, Schlein changes the subject: “I asked about De Angelis”

The opposition meeting with the Meloni government was supposed to deal with the minimum wage, but Elly Schlein, secretary of the Democratic Party, decided to question the prime minister on a completely different subject. On the sidelines of the meeting, in fact, Schlein revealed that she had “requested De Angelis’ resignation”. This is Marcello De Angelis, head of institutional communication for the Lazio Region, who ended up at the center of controversy for statements made in a personal capacity about the Bologna massacre. After a discussion with his collaborator in recent days, Governor Francesco Rocca decided to confirm his confidence and therefore the mission, but for Schlein the case is evidently not yet closed.

Meloni’s answer is dry. “I don’t think I have to deal with the person in charge of communication for the president of the Region – the prime minister told journalists – because I believe that it is the competence of the governor of Lazio”. On the other issue raised by Schlein during the meeting about the minimum wage, or rather “the refreshments that still do not reach the areas affected by the floods in Emilia-Romagna”, Meloni replied stating that “the complaints of Bonaccini (president of the Region, ed.) are unfounded”.
