Good winds are not blowing in relations between Italy and Ryanair. The long-distance frictions between Eddie Wilson and the Meloni government continue, in particular with the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, fighting the low-cost airline: “CEO Wilson does what he thinks. Italy is the company’s first market, the most attractive in Europe. If they cut routes, someone else fills them in. I just wonder if Ryanair shareholders are of the same opinion.”
Urso, in conversation with La Stampa about the dispute that opened with Ryanair after the measure approved by the government against the cost of flights, then increases the dose, pointing the finger at the attitude of the company founded in Ireland: “When tickets are sold a thousand euros in conjunction with the floods, the market has nothing to do with it. It’s called speculation. In recent years, Rynair has had its way in the Italian market and now – Urso raises his voice – the situation has to change”.
