Which ministers are the most popular on social networks and who managed to conquer important slices of the digital audience also on the main platforms in August? Based on Arcadia’s latest analysis, the month that has just ended has been very fruitful for Gennaro Sangiulianoowner of the Ministry of Culture, which is confirmed at the top of Facebook’s “engagement” (involvement in social networks) ranking (with 13%) and precedes Jose Vallettara (Education and Merit) and Matteo PiantedosiMinister of the Interior, which debuted on Mark Zuckerberg’s first social network only on July 18th and defeated everyone’s competition, until Matthew SalviniDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, who remains very strong on social media, and has 5 million followers on Facebook alone, but which, with 1%, ranks eighth.
When it comes to post-interactions, the owner of Viminale is unmatched at 11%, slightly more than Eugenia Rockella, Minister of the Family, to (so to speak) at 9.3% and Valditara, which drops a few positions, and has a percentage of 8.9% of interactions to posts. And then the Keeper of Seals, Carlos Nórdiothe one that brings the most followers on Facebook, with up to 847 more followers than in July, the Minister of Justice has grown by 18%, the same percentage of the tenant in viale Trastevere, who, however, has more people behind him he has only 258, therefore it loses the first position in the top ten.
Then there’s X, or Twitter as it used to be called. According to Arcadia’s analysis, to have a strong voice on social media Elon Musk he is still the Minister of Culture, who is in first place in the engagement ranking, ahead of Adolfo UrsoMinister of Business and Made in Italy, and again to the owner of Viminale, and is also the first in terms of percentage growth in followers, this time ahead of the owner of the Ministry of Public Administration, Paulo Zangrilloand to Piantedosi himself, who can, however, be proud of being the one with whom users interact the most, more than the ex-director of Tg2 and even more than Francesco Lollobrigida (Agriculture and Food Sovereignty), which drops to third place. The latter is in first place with regard to the ability of a single post to generate interaction, namely with regard to the Mediterranean diet and the “dedicated to you” social card.
Salvini, who we have already said is among the most followed politicians, takes revenge for his online mentions of ministers, but also for his total involvement. The leader of the League triples his counterpart Forza Italia in terms of mentions, reaching 12,400 against 3,690 of Antonio Tajaniand also triples Daniela Santanchez, Minister of Tourism, for their engagement. Nothing can be done (once again) against Sangiuliano due to the atmosphere on the network: the Minister of Culture, by the way, is the one with the most positive feelings (53 against 37), closely followed by the Prime Minister’s brother-in-law (51 against 39) and of Valditara (36 against 50). Ironically, however, Salvini is defeated by Minister Farnesina, who likes him better by one percentage point and is dissatisfied by less than two (35 to 53 for Tajani against 34 and 55 for the other Deputy Prime Minister).
