Practically one in two Italians is convinced that an attack by strong powers is underway against the center-right government led by Giorgia Meloni. These are the data that emerge from the latest Lab21.01 survey for Italian Affairs: 47.3% of those interviewed are convinced that there is a small hand that opposes the center-right executive, while 52.7% are against this thesis . The other question in the survey concerns the preference between new elections and a provisional government in the event of the fall of the current majority: the result is very clear, with 83.6% of respondents leaning towards a return to the polls and early dissolution of the Chambers, while only 16.4% would have technicians as seen in the experiences with Mario Monti and Mario Draghi.
We then turn to voting intentions for individual parties. Fratelli d’Italia remains in first place with 29.1%, an increase of 0.2% compared to the previous survey. A positive sign also for the Democratic Party, which rose from 19.5% to 19.6% and for Movimento Estrela, which grew 0.1% to 16.8%. Forza Italia fell, falling from 6.3% to 6.1%.
