The candidates are already in the final part of this campaign, which has been atypical not only because of the way the proposals are communicated, but also because of the clear polarization within the electorate and the almost personal attacks between some of them. EL HERALDO interviewed the two candidates with the highest voting intention for both the Atlantic Government and the Barranquilla Mayor’s Officeis evident from the two studies conducted by this medium.

In this edition we speak with Eduardo Verano de la Rosa, who achieved 46.8% voting intention in the latest survey. Verano is a candidate for Atlantic Governor’s Liberal Party with the support of the parties Cambio Radical, La U, Conservador and a large sector of the Democratic Center.
Verano is a businessman from Barranquilla with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He was Minister of the Environment between 1997 and 1998, voter in 1991 and director of Inravisión, among other positions within the Liberal party.

It’s been twice Governor of the Atlantic and in both periods, he claims, he carried out 850 civil works and many others of a social nature, which enabled him on several occasions to become the leader with the highest level of acceptance in the country. One of the flags of his campaign was Add forces to continue working for the department, putting his experience back at the service of the residents of Atlantic, building on what has been built, as he himself says, to generate consistent developments over time.
