Denk’s election program, which has not yet been presented, can still be read on the internet. The program is accessible through a publicly accessible backdoor on the website. There is no link to the document on the website yet, but it is online.
Party leader Stephan van Baarle says in his foreword: “For too long we have accepted that politicians turn groups of people against each other for their own interests. “Fear is sown against Muslims, refugees and people of different ethnic backgrounds in order to blame the problems in our country on people of other origins.”
Van Baarle thinks that the striking examples in the election manifesto are unifying rather than polarizing:
Denk confirms that this is the election program for the November 22 elections. The party wanted to present this with a press release and video tomorrow. The party waited for its presentation due to the war between Hamas and Israel. This stands in the way of the celebratory presentation, a spokesman previously told NOS.
The program starts with “10 thinkers”. These are the locations provided with pictures. For example, the first position, titled “Toughly punish Muslim hatred,” includes a picture of PVV leader Wilders behind bars.
In another photo, various rainbow flags and LGBTI+ flags featuring children with question marks over their heads and the words “Should we act normal again?” text appears. GL-PvdA’s party leader, Frans Timmermans, is wearing a photo with the words “Do not allow”. “You yourself will be robbed” is a kind of thief’s outfit.
The party also advocates chemical castration of pedophiles: “Why not?” says. Additionally, the party wants a one-state solution for Israel and Palestinian territories under the Palestinian flag.
Denk also wants to improve equality of opportunity for young people, address climate change and housing waiting times, make healthcare affordable, make food cheaper and ensure the king pays taxes.
“This program is the result of many discussions with relevant members, experts, representatives from Denk, the Statera Institute of Science, civil society, our colleagues and of course our own MPs,” writes Chairman Sheher Khan on behalf of the Election Program Committee.
