Fratoianni denies the evidence: among migrants there are no terrorists

“Your president talked a lot about migration, and badly: building the connection between migrants and terrorists is a miserable and propaganda operation.” These are the words spoken in the Chamber by Nicola Fratoianni, national secretary of the Italian Left and deputy of the Green-Left Alliance, and addressed to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Therefore, be careful when stating that such a risk exists. For Fratoianni, it is wrong, although our intelligence services also support it, which, as Meloni recalled in his reports, highlights the risk of jihadist infiltration, especially through the Balkan route.

However, over the past ten years, the news has repeatedly told stories of terrorists arriving in Europe as migrants. The most recent example is that of the Brussels striker, who landed in 2011 at Lampedusa. The evidence is many. Meloni’s answer is simple: “I find it unreasonable and ideological to deny that this connection may exist, even more so when we have proof of this, when we are aware that this happened in the past”.
