The English Court’s decision on Indi Gregory regarding the detachment of the machinery that keeps the seriously ill girl hospitalized in Nottingham alive, for whom her parents are asking to be transferred to Italy, has been postponed until Monday. “Appeal rejected. Deadline until Monday,” wrote the Gregory family’s Italian lawyer, Simone Pillon, in X. Meanwhile, the Italian government asked Britain to transfer Indi Gregory to Italy, based on the 1996 Hague Convention Meloni presented the proposal to allow the 8-month-old girl “to have access to the health protocol of a hospital pediatrician in our country.” Maria Teresa Bellucci also spoke about the subject. “We will do everything possible so that the little Indian has the right to treatment to survive”, declared the deputy minister of Labor and Social Policies.
“There is no more important battle for a fair social state than that for the defense of life, the indispensable prerequisite for the realization of all other human rights. All people have the right to life and freedom and it is unacceptable that they cannot be the will of a child to continue living through their parents, the only ones who know what is best for them, is respected”, added Bellucci.
