“One of the most beautiful things about this constituent spirit is that the founding fathers “found themselves confronted with completely different political and cultural experiences. The big message was one of collaboration for the Republic. Although they differed in their assumptions, they strove to create a synthesis. You may feel this longing for newfound freedom. Rediscover that constitutional patriotism that consists of the common sharing of founding values that must inspire us all, because if we truly believe in the Italian Democratic Republic, we cannot fail to recognize ourselves in great founding values. The other must be considered an adversary and never an enemy.” The statement was made by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, speaking at the event “The construction of the new Republic from dream to reality” which took place on Wednesday, November 15, at the University of Milan-Bicocca, organized at the under Bookcity.
The memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and the Constitutional Court “also serves to make the Constitution known in schools. We must ensure that this constituent spirit begins in schools, with young people. In civic education courses we also include the topic of knowledge of constitutional principles. This material can then also be used for teacher training, but also for foreigners who come to Italy and want to understand the constituent spirit. This knowledge of founding values also facilitates the inclusion that is dear to everyone.” The statement was made by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, speaking at the event ‘The construction of the new Republic from dream to reality’ at the University of Milan-Bicocca, organized within the scope of Bookcity.
