The left’s theory is now well established: Italian society is permeated by a patriarchal culture of which the right in government is the bearer. There are those who support it with phrases and those who say it openly. Lilli Gruber, during her program Otto e Mezzo, in dialogue with the writer and activist Carlotta Vagnoli, refers to the fact that Giorgia Meloni chose to be called “the Prime Minister”. «It’s a mystery of faith for me», says the presenter, who adds: «This will also be a right-wing patriarchal culture…». He then asks Vagnoli if the right-wing slogan “God, country, family” has anything to do with Giulia’s femicide. Meloni’s response hits Facebook, complete with photos of her with her mother, grandmother and daughter. «I don’t know how certain people can find the courage to exploit even the most horrible tragedies to attack the government, writes the Prime Minister – Now the bizarre new thesis supported by Lilli Gruber in her broadcast last night is that I am the expression of a patriarchal culture. Truly speechless.” The controversy does not end here, because Gruber relaunches: «I thank Giorgia Meloni for the attack, which I consider a first demonstration of her willingness to open a constructive dialogue with the press, an exercise in democracy to which she is not accustomed». For days now, the left, with Elly Schlein in the lead, has accused the ruling majority of not doing enough to stop the blood trail of women killed by their partners. This time, psychologist Alessandro Amadori ends up in the crosshairs of the Democratic Party. It’s his fault ? Having written a book in 2020 entitled: «The war of the sexes. Short essay on gender evil.” The intention is to be able to lay the foundations of a new “gender alliance”. But some passages in the book, such as the one in which he writes that “women are also bad”, have angered the left, which considers him unworthy of occupying the role of coordinator of the affective education project in schools that the Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara will present today. It’s a shame that Amadori isn’t the project coordinator. In fact, the person responsible is Mauro Antonelli, head of the technical secretariat. Amadori is just an advisor. So much so that Valditara is forced to specify: «There is no consultancy entrusted to anyone: there is a project that was created, written by the department of the Ministry of Education and Merit, a project that is the result of a great listening that I present and sign. The rest are controversies that are worthless.” The Democratic Party, dissatisfied, opens another controversy.
