Ipsos exit poll: PVV is by far the largest party with 35 seats, followed by GL-PvdA, VVD and NSC

Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV) is leading in the exit poll conducted by research agency Ipsos on behalf of NOS and RTL. After this first indication of the election results, the PVV will have around 35 seats. In the previous House of Representatives elections in 2021, the party had received significantly fewer seats: 17.

Behind the PVV are Frans Timmermans’ GroenLinks-PvdA with 26 seats (previously 17 seats) and Dilan Yeşilgöz’s VVD with 23 seats (previously 34 seats). Newcomer NSC, Pieter Omtzigt’s party, emerges as the fourth party in this poll with 20 seats.

There is a big gap between the NSC and the smaller parties in this election poll: the next party is D66 with 10 seats (previously 24) and BBB with 7 seats (previously 1). This is followed by CDA and SP, both with 5 seats, and PvdD with 4 seats.

FvD, CU and SGP all get 3 rows. The two parties have two seats: Volt and Denk. 50Plus and JA21 get 1 seat each. If this election poll is consistent with the final election results, BIJ1 and BVNL will not return to the House of Representatives.

Voting centers have just closed and vote counting has begun. The election results can be followed throughout the evening on NOS via TV, radio, NOS.nl and the app. You can find all the results online here.

Now that the exit poll is behind us, we just have to wait for the first results. These are expected to hit the community starting next hour. The flow of results can be expected to accelerate slightly after 23:00.

The ANP press agency follows the night with the first preliminary predictions on the distribution of seats in the House of Representatives. These are based on actual results so far, so they should be more accurate than the last poll. Tomorrow, when all results are available, ANP hopes to convert the preliminary forecast into a forecast of final results.
