These populist regurgitations of the Grillina era

The country does not have enough resources for a significant maneuver due to the Grillino government led by Giuseppe Conte who gave money to anyone with measures implemented without reason, regulation or control. Citizenship income and construction bonus above all. They couldn’t even do a cost estimate and now we are paying for the damages (over 100 billion) and will be paying them for years. All of this does not seem to have been enough for many Italians to understand the devastating consequences that populism causes. When the ministers of the 5 Star Movement rejoiced as if in a frenzy looking from the balcony of Palazzo Chigi, shouting that they had defeated poverty, many did not understand that they had defeated their own poverty and worsened that of the country.

However, today there are still those who feed the worst populism and tickle the bellies of social media simpletons, constructing “news” (good times when it was true) omitting entire chunks of truth: if you tell everything honestly, you will laugh. The case built against Minister Lollobrigida is a textbook of fake news or, at least, of non-journalism. Thinking the first rule would be to check the news. But there is nothing new here. Yes, because not only was the extraordinary stop made in Ciampino by Frecciarossa designed to free someone (therefore, it was not an abuse of power nor was an ad personam privilege created), but in the last six months it has happened 207 times: data provided by Fs.

There is a consolidated practice according to which, in the event of long delays, extraordinary stops are made. Both to facilitate the needs of institutional figures and to fulfill their mandate (serving the country) they cannot waste time (after all, they work for citizens and are voted by citizens), and for specific urgent cases that can concern anyone. In short, this whole controversy is completely unfounded or, if you want to see it, created out of nowhere. However, Minister Lollobrigida, next time instead of using a normal train, do as the former head of Justice, Grillino Alfonso Bonafede: take a nice private plane worth 10 thousand euros. Either way, populists don’t understand what’s best. Listen, a nice private jet and that’s it.
