Violence against women, prof. Amadori loses patience: complaints are ready

Alessandro Amadori, the teacher who ended up in controversy for his appointment by the Ministry of Education in the ‘Educate for relationships’ project, decided to mandate his lawyers to «evaluate the most appropriate legal actions for his protection, with regard to the media attack suffered by ‘ Domani’ and other press bodies”.

The psychologist, university professor hired at the Catholic University of Milan and consultant at the Piepoli polling institute, gave an interview to La Stampa yesterday to put an end to the controversy: «Dismissal? Absolutely not! There are no anti-feminine references in the book. The book is very complex due to the language it uses – she said after ending up at the center of controversy after the newspaper Domani published some excerpts from her book, written together with Cinzia Corvaglia, ‘The War of the Sexes’ -. Seven years ago, from analyzing the data, I noticed an increase in conflict between the genders and I did an in-depth analysis that led me to a hyperbole that is actually also true, namely that a war between the sexes has emerged.”

For Amadori “men never followed the path of growth that women followed with feminism, therefore portions of mental structures remain that are archaic, the same as 2 to 300 years ago”. As, he continued, “male aggression is obvious, I tried to understand the nature of female aggression which is less brutal, less frequent, but when it manifests itself it can be bad.” And yet, he stressed that violence against women and the aggression that women can show to men “are not comparable, I explain this in the book. And in my analysis I conclude that male aggression must be neutralized. To do this, we should sit around a metaphorical table and make a pact between the genders, an alliance.”
