Femicides, after the tragedy of Giulia Cecchettin, everyone is dealing with the cultural short circuit that is at the origin of the drama of the young woman brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Sometimes, however, we lose sight of the objective and tend to attribute responsibility to the entire male gender, without distinction. This is exactly what Vittorio Feltri talks about in his column published in the November 29th edition of Il Giornale. “We are not simply discussing violence against women – writes Feltri – but rather we are establishing a trial, in fact without interrogation and without defense, of men as such. responsibilities and guilt of a minority of representatives of the gender in question. This is a vile, shameful, uncivilized and barbaric activity, which ends, in fact, in the collective massacre of all men, including you and me, my dear. For days we have been supporting those of us who are responsible for the criminal actions carried out by some, who are accomplices, conspirators, guilty, toxic, depraved, deviant, pigs, molesters, dangerous, violent, brutes. These are gender discriminations, which I would like to find legitimacy in the fact that whoever killed Giulia, like the other 104 women killed this year before her, was a man.”
“This morning – continues the editorial director of Il Giornale – the Lombard Regional Council met, of which I am a member as an advisor to the Fratelli d’Italia group. in addition to discussing feminicide and the murder of Giulia, for which it is claimed that institutions are also to blame, and not just these poor criminalized men?…Everyone talked about feminicide to demonstrate their adherence to political correctness. What is it for? Did it work? It’s no use – Unfortunately, these personal performances are of no use. Once again the patriarchy, the State, the masculine were put into play. I fear that we will never again be able to dismantle these prejudices, which are absorbed by weak minds, devoid of character, not brilliant, inclined to conformism.”
