It all started in the village of Ghilarza, a village of four thousand people in the province of Oristano: here the grandmother of the founder of the communist party, Antonio Gramsci, married the brother of the grandmother of Giorgia Meloni’s great-grandmother. Varnetti’s research begins in 2021, when he uncovers Enrico Letta’s family connection to Antonio Gramsci, through Letta’s maternal grandmother and Antonio Gramsci’s nephew’s aunt. But the family connection between Giorgia Meloni and Antonio Gramsci is more distant, and to understand this we have to go through Nino Meloni, the paternal grandfather of the prime minister, the husband and therefore the brother of the director Nino Meloni, actress and voice-over artist Zoe Incrocci. Agenorrhea Incrocci’s law. Incrocci was born in 1899 in Ghilarza, a small village in Sardinia’s interior, where Gramsci’s mother was also from. When we research Ghilarza’s family tree, we see that Giorgia Meloni’s grandfather, Nino Meloni, is the son of Giuseppina Corrias, the daughter of Maddalena Sotgiu and the daughter of Angela Delogu. Among Angela Delogu’s numerous brothers was Pudenziana Corrias’ first husband, Francesco Antonio Delogu, by whom she had two daughters: Margherita and Maria Grazia. The widow Pudenziana Corrias remarried Antonio Marcia, with whom she had sex with Antonio Gramsci’s mother, Giuseppina. The sister of Angela and Francesco Antonio Delogu was Catterina, the maternal grandmother of the Forum Santi Licheri judge’s paternal grandmother’s brother-in-law.
