The one that emerged on citizen’s income, the totemic measure of the 5 Star Movement, strongly repressed by Giorgia Meloni’s government, is a bill that will make pulses tremble. “The data published by the INPS clearly shows the disastrous extent of citizens’ income in their professional placement role”, declared the leader of the Fratelli d’Italia group in the Chamber, Tommaso Foti. “Compared to just 1,500 incentivized contracts, the expense of this measure cost the Italian State 34 billion euros. And as mathematics is not an opinion, each job cost us more than 22 million euros”, is the calculation highlighted by the FdI exponent.
It was, therefore, an “unacceptable waste of public resources intended by the 5 Star Movement and its president”, Giuseppe Conte, “which the Meloni government has put an end to. Today’s confirmation – if any were needed – that this ineffective subsidy was not it just doesn’t abolish poverty in any way, which the Grillini celebrated by toasting on the balcony, but didn’t even help its beneficiaries find jobs. A general failure!”, concludes Foti.
