Behind the scenes, opinions are unanimous about an executive that has a solid majority and a charismatic prime minister who leads the international scene with authority. However, less flattering comments are emerging about the plethora of ministers who are completely unsuited to Meloni’s reform plan, with cabinets that don’t even speak to each other. Hence the need, felt by everyone, despite repeated formal denials, for a remodeling. As for the moment, the hypotheses vary: some say after the possible judicial initiatives, some with the next European elections and, finally, some with the choice of the EU commissioner (Giorgetti?).
In addition to the moderate triumvirate (Tajani, Crosetto, Piantedosi), there are several appointed ministers, at the center of all kinds of conversations. Firstly, Minister Luca Ciriani is held responsible for the short circuit between Government and Parliament. So, at Palazzo Madama, in recent days, despite the lack of the usual rain of amendments, Ciriani achieved the impossible task, contrary to the good intentions at the beginning of Melonia’s mandate, of extending the approval deadlines for the Budget Law that will end, as always, close to New Year’s Eve, creating a disagreement with the president of the Northern League Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana. However, in the confidential talks that continue without stopping, under the command of the disjointed government brigade, Adolfo Urso and other “invisibles” fight, such as Paolo Zangrillo and Alessandra Locatelli, not to mention the hologram Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, a gray senator from the budget committee who It is to the energy transition what the analogue is to artificial intelligence.
He is remembered only as an obscure collector of colleagues’ amendments during morning and evening sessions of the financial laws he followed over the years when he lived in a cramped studio behind Palazzo Giustiniani, which he left when he became minister. Since he has been in government, all he remembers are her tears of emotion at the performance of the “eco-anxious” young woman, endorsing her fears and irrationality instead of reassuring her.
