The Chamber said no to the ratification of the MEE, with the center-right therefore respecting a promise made some time ago to its voters. The leader of the Brothers of Italy group in the Chamber of Deputies, Tommaso Foti, claimed this choice in Montecitorio: “Victory for the Brothers of Italy who today in the Chamber gave yet another demonstration of coherence with the vote against the treaty that amends the Mes. The parliamentary majority voted according to their conscience, respecting the positions of the other members of the coalition. The theater staged by hysterical opposition was horrible. Whoever challenged Fratelli d’Italia at the level of linearity can only put their tail between their legs. Firstly Giuseppe Conte, leader of the 5 Star Movement who, having rejected the MEE today in the Chamber, voted against the Conte II government, without taking into account what the Conte I government had done. Today the grillini – Foti thunders – have proven that they were wrong again.”
