“The challenge of the circular economy involves an adequate manufacturing system. The recovery of materials, through recycling, and the recovery of energy, through the transformation of waste into energy, are non-competing and fundamental solutions to close the waste cycle”: this was what the Vice-Minister of Environment and Energy Security expressed , Vannia Gava, during the ISPRA conference. “From a regulatory point of view, we intervened in the simplifications and revisions of some important decrees, such as the end of inert waste. Therefore, with PNRR investments, the aim is to strengthen the selective collection infrastructure and waste recycling, especially in strategic supply chains. In this sense, as part of the review, we asked for an additional billion to move through the rankings”, he added.
