Migrants, NGOs against the government. And the left supports them: “Inhumane”

The delusion of omnipotence of those who are convinced that they can make decisions that, in fact, only belong to the government. The conviction of being right, always and a priori. The obsessive and petulant search for conflict with the center-right majority, accused of being “fascist” just because it tries to defend our traditions and our borders. Inevitably, every fortnight, a new controversy arises from NGOs, the organizations that champion crazy theories without borders. This time the accusation made against our executive is that it allocated a port that migrants do not like. «We saved 119 people and Italy designated Marina di Carrara as a safe haven. It is 1150 km away. The purpose of these remote ports is to keep rescue ships away from the operational area so they cannot save more people.” A delusional message, the one released yesterday morning on X by Sea Watch, after the rescue on Christmas Eve.

The center-right majority, in order to prevent ninety-nine percent of landings from taking place in Sicily and Calabria, decided, several months ago, to redistribute the allocation of ports also to the regions of central Italy. A change that has been awaited for years in the South, but which is not at all appreciated by those who dream of erasing the ancient customs of the Old Continent. And so, always, the immigrants always play the same boring music. Among the thousand episodes, we can mention the one from last October, when, through a post published on X, SOS Humanidade, he stated that «the 88 migrants still on board cannot disembark. Despite worsening weather conditions, Italian authorities denied the captain’s request to reconsider the Bari port assignment in favor of a closer port of call. Humanity 1 must continue towards the safe location designated by Italy, more than a thousand kilometers from the last rescue. This is against maritime law. We condemn this illegitimate practice by Italy, which ignores the needs and rights of vulnerable people in a situation of humanitarian need.” The mistaken belief that they were right led non-governmental organizations to even resort to Italian courts. The TAR of Lazio, last June, decided that there was no illegitimacy in the provisions with which, at the beginning of the year, the authorities of our country assigned the ports of Ancona and La Spezia to Geo Barents, the ship of “Doctors Without Borders”. The administrative court reiterated that it is “evident and undeniable” that it is up to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to allocate the port, as “rescue operations must be seen in the broader and more complex context of the phenomenon of migration by sea which, in addition to rescue, includes also reception, public order and the general management of the migratory phenomenon”. But not only:

the judges clearly stated that “the logical cornerstone according to which the notion of safe harbor would necessarily coincide with that closest to the rescue area was not convincing. Especially because there is a lack of a clear and internationally shared definition of safe harbor, inextricably linked to the concept of nearest port.” However, the controversy is not over yet. In fact, they are dominated, as always, by the left. «Dear SeaWatch, you are right to argue with the government of my country that does everything to hinder NGOs who save human lives at sea – wrote Sandro Ruotolo, information manager at the PD secretariat, in X. Sending you to the port of Marina di Carrara, 1,150 km from the place where you saved 119 immigrants, is inhumane.” However, Sea Watch is the same organization that, shamelessly and shamelessly, announced the launch of its new ship forty days ago with this chilling message. “We are sending a ship against Italy’s far-right migration policies, against attacks on asylum and human rights by the EU, and against criminalization attempts by the German government.”
