It’s a scary New Year’s Eve for Marco Cappato. The treasurer of the Luca Coscioni Association and the president of Eumans was actually hospitalized at the Parini hospital in Aosta last December 31 for a problem of cardiac origin. A clear development”, as stated in a note by the Coscioni association.
The 52-year-old activist was in the Alpine region when he felt sick. He was then taken to the emergency room of the regional hospital by ambulance. “Marco Cappato – we read from the newsletter of his trusted doctor, Dr. Mario Riccio – was discharged today (Thursday, January 4) from the Parini hospital in Aosta and his condition is improving. He was hospitalized last December 31 with a problem of heart origin”. Cappato “performed tests that confirmed the clinical picture and received appropriate treatment. He underwent brain resonance imaging, which confirmed that the ischemic damage was moderate.”
Cappato was therefore discharged from the hospital and the clinical picture has clearly improved, but the Coscioni association underlines that he needs “rest and treatment”.
“The problem causing brain ischemia was probably caused by the presence of a patent cardiac foramen ovale – according to the association’s note – and in the next few weeks Marco Cappato will be closed.”
