Eleonora Evi, the last crusade: “Mom is patriarchy”

There has been a lot of talk about patriarchy in recent months. Since the end of November, Eleonora Evi has stopped being co-spokesperson for Green Europe. The deputy left the party after writing an open letter in which she denounced the “authoritarian and autarchic drift” within her party, yet another – she said – “personal and patriarchal”. “I give up. I will not be the puppet of pinkwashing. Mine has become a cosmetic charge”, he added. After repeated attacks from the left on the traditional family, Evi embraced yet another progressive cause and launched an appeal to her followers through social media. “In my family, Simone, my husband, her father, takes care of our daughter Erica”: that’s how she started.

The deputy then continued expressing her thoughts on the common use of language: “However, for our society it still seems so strange, so unconventional. So much so that Simone is often heard saying that he is a ‘mommy’. form of patriarchy? Yes, and also insidious and difficult to undermine.” “Especially in Italy, if in a family it is the woman who works, perhaps with an important job like mine, is it still so difficult to think that the man can take care of the children? calling him of a mother, to fit him into the standards embedded in machismo”, he added.
