Violent derby, also comes the condemnation of Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani. “I am absolutely firm in condemning all acts of violence, but I must say to the athletes on the field that they must set a good example even when they are difficult games, even when games like the derby that create great tension, they must always remember that they are public figures who must set an example. The same goes for politicians, it goes for people in the entertainment industry, those who are well-known have a great responsibility: to be an example for all other citizens.” Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said this on the sidelines of the General Labor Consultants of the States.
And he added: “Violence of any kind, even on the field, is not beautiful. Athletes must also set a good example for fans because they are public figures who influence public opinion and any type of violence is deplorable, sport must unite, not divide”.
