The Ministry of Economy released the distribution figures resulting from the 2×1000 revenue for political parties. One certainty and some news. The certainty is that, in general, there are still few Italians who choose to adhere to this formula, so much so that the total amount is 24,058,168 euros, therefore a value certainly not substantial, but still growing compared to the previous year, of approximately 4 million. If we look at the number of taxpayers, it doesn’t even reach 2 million: 1,744,913, out of a total of 41,497,318. It’s not a very notable number. The table refers to declarations for 2023, fiscal year 2022. Well, in first place in terms of funds allocated is the Democratic Party, which receives 8,118,192 euros, an increase compared to the previous year in which it totaled 7,346. 785 million. Second place then goes to Fratelli d’Italia, with 4,807,551 euros, which represents a significant recovery compared to the previous year, +1.7 million. Still within the coalition parties, Forza Italia grows, going from 581,373 to 618,377. The League, however, presents a negative sign, which drops from 1,651,919 to 1,545,979 (adding the amount allocated to the Northern League for the Independence of the Prime Minister of Padania).
Looking instead at the opposition, there is a new fact, namely the 5 Star Movement. In fact, Giuseppe Conte’s party, breaking with its anti-system vocation of the “grillina” era, decided to access the 2×1000 mechanism. The first year of “collection” marks 1,853,949. Then there are the two sections of the old Terzo Polo, which, in addition to the actual consensus numbers, collected good numbers. Italia Viva raises 1,135,044 euros, an increase compared to the previous year in which it totaled 973,345 euros. The share, however, falls, still remaining above one million euros: 1,039,313 of 1,256,466 euros. Furthermore, Renzi and Calenda’s parties total the highest contribution per capita. This time, however, the Calenda movement leads with 26.4%. Itália Viva follows immediately, reaching an average of 19.7%. Third place for Forza Italia which presents an average contribution of 17.8%. Another interesting aspect, then, is the presence, among the winners of the 2×1000, of parties that have a very small presence on the scene, or that take us back to other times in our history. This is the case, for example, of Italia dei Valori, a party founded by Antonio Di Pietro that obtains 3,553 contributors, for a total of 46,940 euros. Possibile, the movement founded by Giuseppe Civati when he left the Renziano Democratic Party, also obtained funds: 23,634 Italians decided to give it recognition, for a total of 246,874 euros. More than the Italian Socialist Party, chosen by 16,873 contributors for a total of 178,422 euros. Among the most recent movements, it is worth highlighting the South calls the North by Cateno De Luca: it collects 204,532 thousand euros from 38,638 taxpayers. and Lega for Salvini.
