CGIL leader Maurizio Landini now speaks and acts as leader of the left, and Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein follows closely. “Hands off the right to strike”, says the democratic leader on the stage of the Green Europe congress in Chianciano, addressing the government. Addressing Avs representatives, Schlein goes on to tell them that “we share a vision of the future that holds us together. I heard this in the words of Angelo Bonelli, but also in those of Nicola Fratoianni. together the climate, which are two inseparable elements”.
Addressing the union representatives present in Chianciano, including Landini himself and Pierpaolo Bomardieri, Schlein stated: “We were and will be at your side to defend the constitutional right to strike. We say to the Government: ‘Hands off the right to strike because it is a constitutional right’. They must be convinced of this, we cannot stifle the voice of pain, suffering and concern of millions of workers who face the prospect of precariousness.
There is no shortage of intemperance against the majority. “This entitlement must be stopped,” thunders Schlein, “they are reaching an all-time low in healthcare spending. We cannot tolerate an Italy in which its destiny is written from birth.” And further: “Among us we found a synthesis to defeat these right-wingers and we found this in a Constitution that is above all anti-fascist”, he concludes. In short, Landini overtakes everyone on the left and Schlein is increasingly surrounded.
