Last Friday, the presidential candidate of the Historic Pact, Gustavo Petro, canceled his visit to the Putumayo department due to health problems.
According to Petro’s campaign team, this new setback in the candidate’s public agenda was due to “food infirmities” resulting from the intensity of the workdays.
“Candidate Gustavo Petro will rest today. Having already recovered from his food infirmity, it has been decided that he will rest today,” said a source close to Petro.
He added: “In any case, the campaign agenda remains for today, in Puerto Asís (Putumayo). Alfonso Prada, head of the debate, and the team leading the campaign debate will arrive there.”
It should be noted that this is the second event that Petro will not attend this week. Well, the head of the debate, Alfonso Prada, confirmed that the applicant had to cancel his agenda in Yopal, Casanare, this Thursday due to the stomach upset.
“We almost see each other in The Resurgence. The campaign will take place in Casanare and be present in a country that is a priority for the country project that unites us. Petro won’t be there, but he’s sending all his love. So they advised him to take a break for a day. Send him good vibes,” Prada said.
In March, Petro also canceled his visit to a campaign event due to health concerns. At the time, it did not reach the supporters of the Citizen Force movement that was taking place at the Tequendama Hotel.
