The magistrate of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Luis Guillermo Pérez pointed out on Tuesday that there will be no international oversight of the election software due to a clear “lack of time”.
The togado explained the decision after a meeting between the CNE and the National Registry
“There was no time for them to provide all the documentation that was claimed. They were asked for a quote and they had the availability but there are some legal requirements and the president of the CNE has verified that they have not followed the rules,” CNE magistrate Luis Guillermo Pérez said in a media attention.
He also warned that “the transparency of the elections will not be compromised”.
Faced with this event, the National State Registry stated, “We are responsible for our audit for Sunday’s election, the McGregor firm is working properly.”
He added that tomorrow in the country, all international observation missions that will accompany the presidential elections in the national territory will be present in Colombia.
