“Rumors of fraud influence the electoral process”: Vega Rocha

the civil servant, Alexander Vega Rochafollowing the installation of the International Election Observation Missions, has announced that, once the presidential election period ends, it will take legal action against Juan Diego Gomezcurrent president of Congress.

According to Vega Rocha, the senator of the Conservative Party repeatedly in a personal capacity “he has made claims that fraud has been committed in Colombia without providing any evidence and that the observation missions already have all the information.”

“We have made the decision to present to the Election Observation Missions at the international level of the attack carried out by the President of Congress, electoral fraud slandered with totally false evidence (…) we have already documented everything, criminal complaints after the election contest is over,” he said.

He reiterated that “rumors of fraud are not just the registerthey attack the electoral process, the big affectation is the loss of confidence in the electoral process”.
