Political elections 2022, Massimiliano Fedriga: we take nothing for granted

Renovations are not made with an axe. “Things don’t change in 100 days, you need a period of at least 5 years. They must be done, but we must try not to do them alone, in a climate of dialogue and responsibility, without exercising vetoes, but also with the awareness of that we cannot remain immobility.” Interviewed by Avvenire, Massimiliano Fedriga classifies the pillars of the “governing” League: “The NRP can also be improved in relation to the new context of international tension, but it does not need to be overthrown.” The president of Friuli Venezia Giulia got along well with Mario Draghi, in the conversation she had as president of the governors, but the interruption of this experience only blames the M5s. The centre-right starts as the favourite.

Fedriga, what advice do you think you can give? “In the meantime, I wouldn’t take anything for granted. And then I would be cautious about the timing of the show, without creating excessive expectations. Nothing is done in 100 days, we who manage the Regions are well aware of this, managing stable entities capable of working 5 years without any problems. Citizens prefer difficult challenges, even if they take time. I remember the mission in Israel that carried out a collaboration between my Region and the city of Modìin, a municipality planned 20 years before, when its development and mission was decided upon ».
