“Air-e met 38 of 45 indicators evaluated” Superservices

Lorenzo Castillo Barvo, Superintendent (e) of Residential Public Services, delivered a report to Senate Committee V on the entity’s management on the issue of energy tariffs in the country.

The official said that of the Superservices, 957 verifications of the unit cost of providing the service and 383 rate verifications were performed on strata 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

He indicated that he has signed long-term management programs with Air-e and Afinia to evaluate service quality, continuity and reliability, loss management and user service processes. “At the end of 2021, Air-e met 38 of the 45 assessed indicators. For its part, Afinia met 30 of the 37 established indicators,” he said.

He pointed out that between January 2019 and September 2022, the Superservices conducted administrative investigations against the companies Celsia Tolima and Compañía Energética De Occidente for “non-compliance with the country’s public service system”.

“In Superservices, we monitor the electricity and natural gas markets to identify behaviors that alter the efficiency of the markets, and to determine whether the results of the market affect end-users.”
