The Golden State Warriors fined Draymond Green for punching teammate Jordan Poole in practice last week but decided not to suspend the player.
The Warriors plan to reinstate Green on Thursday and give him minutes in Friday’s preseason game against the Denver Nuggets, US media reported Wednesday.
“I was wrong for what I did on Wednesday (last week) and for that I apologized to the team and to Jordan, but I want to go one step further. The publication of the video (of his punch) is something that a lot of shame. It’s something that makes me uncomfortable, and that’s something that touches me, but it’s also the sense of discomfort that Jordan has, that this team has, that has this franchise,” Green said at a recent press conference.
