The ATP Finals 2022 group draw took place in Turin, which will also be played in Turin this year. There was a risk that Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic would be in the same group, it wasn’t like that. The draw created two very balanced groups that make the outcome of this Masters even more uncertain, which still sees Djokovic as the favorite. The Serbian is in search of the sixth title.

The eight players participating in the ATP Finals are divided into two groups of four. The sweepstakes operations are simple. The two highest ranked players preside over the two groups, which have already been named after the ‘old’ winners. This is no longer the case. The tribute to Italy includes a Green Group and a Red Group. In the green on the right Nadal, who is the best ranked tennis player, is number 2 but Alcaraz is missing. In red the highest rank is Tsitsipas. So the 3 and the 4, the 5 and the 6 and the 7 and the 8 are ordered.

In the Green Group, namely Nadal’s, the Norwegian Ruud, student of Rafa, the Canadian Auger-Aliassime, who is in great shape and at the moment seems to be the favorite for the group’s success and the American Taylor Fritz, who was the reservation but took advantage of Alcaraz’s fixed rate.

In the Red Group, on the other hand, there are three players who have already won the finals: Stefanos Tsitsipas, 2019 champion, Daniil Medvedev, winner in 2020, and Novak Djokovic, who has triumphed on six occasions, but the last seven years ago. The other is Rublev, now a regular in the finals.

On the first day there will be a big clash between Djokovic and Tsitsipas and the Russian derby, while in the other group it will start with Nadal-Fritz and Auger-Aliassime-Ruud. The program has not yet been formalized. It will soon be discovered who will debut on Sunday, November 13th.

Also draw the groups of the Doubles Finals. In the Green group, the numbers 1: Koolhof/Skupski, Mektic/Pavic, number one in 2021, Dodig/Krajicek and Kokkinakis/Kyrgios, destined to put on a show. The Rosso group is with Ram / Salisbury, Arevalo / Rojer, Glasspool / Heliovaara, Granollers / Zeballos.
