Celebrate title by spraying sparkling wine on Muslim driver, who is furious: “He didn’t respect me”

After winning the MotoGP World Championship with Pecco Bagnaia, Ducati scored twice last weekend, with the Spaniard Bautista winning the Superbike championship in Indonesia, at the end of a very intense season lived almost alongside Toprak Razgatlioglu, both won 14 races! Bautista won the title with merit, considering that he celebrated an early weekend, but there was no lack of controversy, which exploded for reasons outside the track.

And on the podium back, the 2021 champion is irritated, and not at all.

Toprak Razgatlioglu is furious because not only did Bautista open and spray the bottle of Prosecco on him, but he also chased him from the podium, continuing to spray. The Turk, born in 1996, is a practicing Muslim and does not drink alcohol and, commenting on what happened, he showed his enormous annoyance: “It’s good to celebrate with Prosecco, but he followed me. I don’t understand why, since I’m Muslim and don’t celebrate usually with sparkling wine. Also, we are in a Muslim country. He had no respect. He later apologized, but he has to show respect.”

And increased the dose: “I don’t touch alcohol, he chased me. You have to show respect. I spoke to Rea and asked if he was going to celebrate and he said no. I accept Bautista’s apology, but that’s not good🇧🇷 I didn’t understand. I’m fine with the fact that he opened the Prosecco, but not with the fact that he followed me to spray me.”
