Qatar 2022: Britons travel by plane to World Cup countries with LGBT+ symbol | Video

The England team traveled to Qatar, which denies the World Cup, this Tuesday in a Virgin Atlantic Company plane dubbed “arco-iris” (“rainbow”), the airline’s LGBT+ symbol, as reported by the PA news agency.

is one of the initiatives undertaken by the “Three Lions” to denounce the situation of discrimination experienced in the country of Qatar in terms of the LGBT+ community, for which it was asked to avoid contradictory behavior with the state.

As a matter of fact, England team captain Harry Kane will wear a bracelet during the tournament in support of the ‘One Love’ movement, benefiting the LGBT+ community. A bracelet that is also worn by eight other captains of the teams participating in the World Cup.

The England team was not alone in entering the meeting with a message of inclusion, as Germany also flew a plane to their training base in Oman last Monday with “Diversity wins” written on the side.
