Haller successfully operated on for the second time: “I can’t wait to start my rehabilitation”

Sébastien Haller announced through his social profiles that the second operation went well. The Borussia Dortmund player was diagnosed with testicular cancer last July.

The French football player had announced a few days ago that a second operation was necessary and again through his social media accounts and reported the positive progress of the next operation: “The next step in the rehabilitation process. The second surgery went well. I can’t wait to start the rest of my rehabilitation. Many thanks to the medical team for their support.”

The transalpine striker was diagnosed with cancer in July: after a first operation, Haller had to undergo chemotherapy and then a second surgery was needed to completely remove the tumor.

A few days ago, as already anticipated, the same player had announced this new operation with another message on social networks: “As planned, several possibilities were considered after chemotherapy. The fight for me is not over yet. I will have to undergo an operation to definitively eliminate this tumor that is keeping me away from the field.”

The Borussia Dortmund striker returned to training at the Ajax sports center in October, but after the latest checkup, doctors thought it best to intervene immediately.

The player’s goal was to return to coach Edin Terzic in early 2023, but after the last surgery it will be necessary to understand how the body will react to then start rehabilitation.

Sebastien Haller arrived in Germany from Ajax last summer: Borussia Dortmund bet on him to replace Haaland, who had flown to Manchester City, but now the German club is at his side in every aspect in this battle.
