Puerto Rican singer Ozuna will participate in the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup, which will be held this Sunday at the Lusail Stadium in Doha (Qatar).
As reported by the artist’s representatives in a statement released this Thursday, FIFA has officially confirmed Ozuna’s participation in the closing ceremony.
Several singers refused to perform at World Cup events in protest of human rights abuses in the Arab country.
Ozuna’s presence at the closing ceremony coincides with his achievement of once again reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s “Latin Airplay” chart with “Arhbo”, for the week of December 17, 2022.
The single, in collaboration with Congolese-French rapper Gims and produced by RedOne, is part of the World Cup soundtrack.
