Here’s Cardiff City’s top news for Tuesday, December 20th.

Cardiff City instead of a midfielder

Cardiff City are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Connor Ronan.

The Bluebirds are currently under a transfer embargo but the club insist they are confident it will be suspended and they will be able to operate as normal next month. Whether or not this will be the case remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail reporter Mike Keegan claims the Bluebirds have joined Huddersfield Town and Coventry City, as well as Scottish duo Hibs and Aberdeen in the 24-year-old midfield race.

The Irishman played just 16 times in six years at the Midlands club and had to play elsewhere on loan. He has played for Portsmouth, Walsall, DAK Dunajská Streda, Blackpool, Grasshoppers and most recently St Mirren, where he impressed with eight goals in 29 appearances in midfield.

Although embargoed, Cardiff is clearly lining up targets in hopes of plying its trade in the new year. A goalscoring midfielder is likely to be at the top of the priority list if he can sign players.

The “brilliant” Biancheri was praised for intensifying

Cardiff City Under-18s take on Crewe Alexandra in tonight’s FA Youth Cup clash at the Morningflake Stadium.

With several Under-18 games canceled for various reasons in recent weeks, young forward Gabriele Biancheri has been tasked with moving to the Under-21s for game time in recent weeks as a reward for his 16-year-old. the old man is having a good season in front of goal.

Speaking of Biancheri, Under-18 coach Steve Jenkins said: “There is a long way to go as he is only 16 but he has improved fantastically.

“His brilliant goals and his two wins against Bristol City led to a call-up to the Under-21s and when he played the full 45 minutes I was really impressed.”

On the Crewe clash, Jenkins added: “It is very disappointing that our games against Sheffield Wednesday and Reading have been postponed. Having said that, it’s been a good week, we’re in a good place and confident.

“We’re going with what we think is the strongest we can get, but it’s a very competitive team at the moment with everyone pretty much in top form, barring a few minor setbacks.

“We are very excited and eager to succeed. It only happens once a year, so we want to make the most of it. Our aim is to win the Cup because it is also exciting for the boys and it puts extra pressure on us, but we are confident and we want to win.”

Departure is today at 19:00.

CCST is “generally favorable” to the club through legal disputes

The Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust have published details of a backstage meeting they attended when the club’s hierarchy were briefed on the current situation with Emiliano Sala.

Esteemed chairman of the fund, Kate Morgan, a longtime Bluebirds fan and finance expert, was part of a fan delegation that spoke to Cardiff power figures ahead of their disappointing 1-1 draw with Blackpool later in the week .

Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman explained to the group that the club is under a transfer embargo due to non-payment of the first installment of Sal’s transfer fee demanded by Nantes.

The club then passed the information on to the Welsh media. The Bluebirds are still pursuing legal action and want to fully exhaust those avenues before parting with the money.

The subject is very complex, which goes far beyond the rules of football. Morgan confirmed in a statement to Trust members: “The fans in attendance were generally supportive of the club’s position to pursue the various legal issues, which are complex and involve many issues.”
