Alligators, best team, Roberto Char, best manager

There was no surprise and nothing to blame. Caimanes de Barranquilla was recognized as the best team of the year and Roberto Char as the best manager of 2022.

“I’m very happy. Baseball has grown tremendously. We went to Mexico and we won the world bronze medal, which is won in the Central Americans. Caimanes was champion of the League and we won the Caribbean Series, we have had a very good year,” said Roberto Char.

“This is an epic year, because the Caribbean Series and the World Classic are coming up and that’s why several players want to come and play here in Colombia,” added the manager of the Caymanes, who dreams of another title in the country.

The shareholder of the ‘Saurios’ referred to the World Baseball Classic that the other is coming and was excited about the role Colombia can play.

“Colombia is very good, they have good players, they have great players and they want to win. Colombia in baseball has grown a lot,” he said.

The manager referred to the guidance the Alligators have received from the Barranquilla crowd and hopes they will continue to flock to Édgar Rentería in the coming matches.

“People were a bit distracted by the World Cup, but we’ve already achieved our goal and Messi already has the World Cup (laughs). Now we hope that many more people will support Caimanes in the stadium,” he said.

On the other hand, Roberto Char did not miss the moment to talk about the process of Arturo Reyes in Junior, assuring that he “needs two or three pieces”.

“Junior is a big team. Hiring Arturo Reyes will be vital, he has very good group management, he forms some very good players. They need two or three pieces to achieve last year’s objectives”, he concludes.
