Jhon Jáder Durán: In Europe they play at a different pace

Colombian footballer Jhon Jáder Durán, a newcomer to England’s Aston Villa from the American Chicago Fire, said on Monday he hopes to adapt to the intensity of the English league.

“Everything in Europe is moving at a different pace,” the 19-year-old striker said in an interview on the British club’s website.

Durán elaborated on his reasons for signing for Villa, praising the England fans and citing the “story” of his compatriot Juan Pablo Ángel, who played at Villa Park between 2001 and 2007.

“I’ve seen club videos and I think it’s a very nice project,” added the footballer, who assured that he looks forward to “going on the field and scoring the first goal.”

“I am a player who plays with a lot of passion and commitment for the team and always wants to win,” said the striker.
