An agonizing goal from Kimmich saves Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga draw

Bayern suffered against a ferocious Cologne and finally managed to save at least one point in a 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga thanks to an agonizing goal from joshua kimich with a shot at the team from 30 yards in the 90th minute.

The draw allowed RB Leipzig, with their 6–1 win against Schalke, to come within four points of Bayern.

Colonia went through in minute 4 Ellyes Skhriwhich he defined with his right foot after a corner which was extended to the far post with a header from Chabot.

It was the first arrival in a game in which Cologne came out aggressively, having already managed to get into the Bavarian half by resorting to high pressure.

After the goal, Cologne did not give back and took on Bayern in midfield.

During the first half, Bayern had two clear chances and both ended in good saves from goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe. The first was a shot of Serge Gnabryin the 14th minute, after a good combination between Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané.

Moments later, in the 44th minute, Schwäbe blocked Leon Goretzka’s shot from close range after a corner kick.

The best chance, however, was for the Colonyto which he was about to counter-attack in the 29th minute when goalkeeper Yann Sommer snatched the ball from Skhri’s feet as he went to finish.

In the second half, pressure from Bayern increased and what had been an even game in the first half turned into a defensive battle for Cologne.

In the first ten minutes of the second half, Bayern completed four goals on goal. After that, arrivals were less frequent, but there were a few good chances, the best being a header from Thomas Müller in the 80th minute, after which Schwäbe responded with a superb save.

Finally, Kimmich’s superb goal came which gave Bayern at least one point, earning them their second consecutive draw after the end of the winter break.
