There’s ‘Teonovela’ in Santa Marta. While the fans of Unión Magdalena are thrilled and excited about the possibility of Teófilo Gutiérrez joining the team, the leadership of “Ciclón” and the great player are holding a soap opera.
Eduardo Dávila, owner of the ‘Ciclón’, who outright ruled out the arrival of ‘Teo’ on Friday, but already admitted on Monday that he was in talks with the man from Barranquilla, assured EL HERALDO on Tuesday evening that the signing is complicated.
“There was no agreement,” Dávila said of the talks he had with Gutiérrez.
“Well, the possibility is not definitively closed, but I see Teofilo’s problem at Unión as difficult,” Dávila said.
The 37-year-old player from Barranquilla also has offers from Atlético Bucaramanga.
Atlético Nacional, through coach Paulo Autuori, who was asked about the Currambero striker at a press conference, ruled him out outright.
