Sabry Lamouchi says Cardiff City now “have to panic” if they want to get out of their “shitty position” at the center of the Championship’s relegation battle.

The Bluebirds’ relegation concerns were compounded by their 1-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday, their third successive league defeat.

It is also the first time in 15 years that Cardiff have gone 13 games without a win in all competitions and the mood in the capital looks increasingly bleak.

The Bluebirds are now just two points off the relegation zone, with the teams below them having the luxury of a game in hand, with Lamouchi unrestrained in post-match assessment.

“It’s very simple,” he said. “Disappointment, disappointment. Second game, second defeat, one defeat. So we’re close. But in the end we lost three points. I don’t think we deserved it. If you start the score first, it’s a different game. but we said, what’s the last game

“It’s not enough. We have to be more aggressive in both areas. The objective is to lose the duel. We created an opportunity, but not enough to come back”.

Asked if there was panic in the camp, he admitted: “We have to panic. We must panic. Sometimes, if you are worried about something, you can play without thinking.

“So just run, fight and do what you have to do. We have to panic because the situation is uncomfortable. I know everyone knows the situation, so it’s very important. We have 16 games”. [left]. I don’t want to start late. I talk to the players, they know the situation. So we have to find a solution.

“We played much better than last time. It’s just a goal. Another. But another defeat. We need to be more aggressive in both areas and we need to change our mindset to approach the game and be more active as killers.” .

“So don’t give anything to anyone, because no one is going to give us a gift, not a point, not a goal. So we all need to work together and the message to the fans is that we know where we are.

“It’s not my fault. It’s not the players’ fault, it’s OUR fault. We’re where we are. We don’t deserve to be where we are, but we’re in this damn situation.” position and we have to work together to get out of that position

“All together.”

One small bright spot was the off-the-bench debut of new signing Sori Kaba, who would certainly have opened the scoring had it not been for the late arrival of Hull goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

And Lamouchi hopes there’s more of the new guy.

“It’s good to have another chance,” he said. “The high is strong, and it was the first 35-40 minutes with a new team, a new club, a new partner. He created an opportunity and will be better next week.”
