Leeds United travel across the Pennines to take on their old rivals Manchester United in the Premier League tonight.

Every game between the two teams has been televised since Leeds’ return to the top flight, but that all changed tonight.

The pair will meet again on Sunday 12 February in the Sky Sports second leg, but it will not be available to watch in the UK tonight. We are here to explain why.

The game was simply not selected for live streaming.

It’s a showdown Sky, BT Sport and Amazon Prime could have expected but initially didn’t catch the game when it was scheduled to take place on Saturday 17th September.

The party’s reorganization was linked to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as United’s participation in the Europa League. The European fixtures were scheduled for Thursday night, meaning the first leg against Leeds was moved to Sunday 18 September.

Police were called to London for the Queen’s funeral on Monday 19 September, meaning there was not enough police presence required for the match day service. This, combined with the World Cup and United’s presence in all four competitions, has meant that there has been no place for the transfer so far. But since the original game didn’t air (it’s a Saturday at 3pm), that means tonight’s game won’t air either.

Leeds will be without sacked Jesse Marsh as there are rumors about who will replace him. Casemiro will not be in the Red Devils squad for the match due to suspension.

The game will kick off at 8pm on Wednesday 8 February at Old Trafford.
