On Sunday night, one of the biggest events on the world sporting calendar will take place.

The 2023 Super Bowl pits the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL’s biggest game of the season, one of the most anticipated events of the year.

But it’s a world-famous halftime show that also attracts millions of spectators, especially when a singer who hasn’t played music in seven years is scheduled to perform.

How much will Rihanna receive?

Well, she won’t get any fees.

In return, the NFL pays all expenses related to the show, including travel.

In a statement sent to The Independent, An NFL official confirmed that the football league “covers all costs associated with the show and pays union compensation to part-time performers.”

The union scale is considered a small fraction of what artists can normally have.

Of course, doing a half-day gig isn’t cheap. Jennifer Lopez’s 2013 performance cost the NFL $13 million.

What did Rihanna say?

“The set list was the biggest challenge,” he said. “It was the hardest thing, the hardest thing, deciding how to maximize 13 minutes… That’s what this show is going to be, it’s going to be a celebration of my back catalog in the best way that we could put it together.”

“You only have 13 minutes, it’s a challenge, so you’re trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes,” he explained. “It’s tough, we had to miss a few songs because of that, and it’s going to be okay. But I think we did a good job of narrowing it down.”
