Ajax women approach FC Twente after easy win at Excelsior

Ajax continues to follow in the footsteps of FC Twente in the women’s premier league. Ajax recorded an easy 3-0 win over Excelsior and are now two points behind FC Twente.

FC Twente’s match against VV Alkmaar and the PEC Zwolle-PSV match were canceled due to snow.

Ajax had little to do with the Kralingen goalkeeper. The half was 1-0 with a goal from Quinty Sabajo, while midfielder Eshly Bakker scored twice in the second half.

More than a month has passed since Ajax’s last win: 2-1 against PSV. This was followed by a defeat against FC Twente in the KNVB Cup tournament and a draw against Feyenoord at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Fortuna loses in ADO

Dutch champion Twente suffered their first point loss of the season after losing to Fortuna Sittard last week. Limburg lost 1-0 at ADO Den Haag on Friday after Jaimy Ravensbergen took the penalty right before the game.

The duel between Telstar and Feyenoord will take place on Sunday.
