NBA commissioner Adam Silver met with Morant in his New York office Wednesday morning and decided to hand him an eight-game suspension, which will be counted from the day the video was published.

Morant posted a live video to Instagram in the early hours of March 4 showing him shirtless and gun in hand at the nightclub.
“I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I apologize to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, employees, the city of Memphis and the entire franchise,” Morant wrote in a note at the time, after his team sent him in. at least for two games.
