The leader was crowned champion of the Barranquilla Futsal League by beating Sanyojosa 6-2 on the field of Parque Samuel Polo Samudio, in the El Carmen district. Two million pesos were awarded to the winners, said Stiven Reales, organizer of the tournament.
De Leider opened the victory with a goal from José Maturana, after a shot hit the right post.
The 2-0 was scored by Rey Carranza after possession and contacts from the team consisting of players from Venezuela.
Sanyojosa responded, redeeming a Carlos Jiménez score with a shot from midfield to make it 2–1. This is how the first half ended.
De Leider only decided the game at the end of the second half with four more goals. Adrián Angulo, captain of The Leader, made it 3-1 with a powerful shot.
Miguel Camacho assisted Adrián Angulo who scored the fourth and fifth goals.
Andrés Villa, a player of the Colombian futsal team, assisted José Maturana to make it 6-1.
Sanyojosa redeemed his win with a goal from Néstor Medina to make it 6–2.
