He was the protagonist from start to finish. Juan Guillermo Cuadrado appeared in key scenes of the 1-1 draw between Juventus and Inter Milan in the first leg of the Italian Cup semi-final this Tuesday in Turin.
The Colombian scored the cork-breaking goal for the locals, in minute 83, and in the agony of the match was sent off for exchanging nudges with Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
But Cuadrado initially faced Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, author of the visiting goal at 90+5.
Lukaku was suspended for organizing a provocative celebration in the direction of the albinegra stand. Cuadrado complained about his attitude and the Belgian striker responded with a shove that sparked a series of arguments, claims and struggles between members of both teams.

At the end of the match, Cuadrado got into an argument with Inter goalkeeper Handanovic. The two players got heated, pushed each other and were about to come to blows, were it not for their teammates’ intervention.
The referee, seeing the situation, showed both of them the red card. Reports from the Italian press speak of the friction and attempted anger between members of the two squads who moved to the corridors towards the changing rooms.
