The rain did not stop falling in the Master of Augusta

Spaniard Jon Rahm survived Saturday’s torrential rain in Augusta to round out the second stoppage on Friday with a three-under-par to keep him two shots behind leader Brooks Koepka in the Masters.

Rahm was forced to leave the competition on the ninth hole Friday due to high winds and rain that knocked down three trees at Augusta National.

The Spaniard started early Saturday morning in very difficult conditions and, despite some bogeys on the sixteenth and eighteenth holes, saved a three under par to finish second with a total of -10.

Despite the difficulties, Rahm “had fun” going out and competing this morning and showed his confidence going into the final two rounds.

Five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods also finished his round and made the cut for the twenty-third consecutive time.

He has a cumulative three over par, but that was enough to tie a record set by Fred Couples and Gary Player.

The third round will be held in the American afternoon, rain permitting.
